It is not suitable for a network environment as it cannot be directly connected to a network. If your requirement is to print a great deal and you are looking for a printer which can perform Duplex printing, then this is not the one for you as you have to reinsert the paper manually for printing its other side. It is compact with a height of 217 mm, a width of 251 mm and a depth of 370 mm.

The Linux drivers for this printer, while available, are problematic and only work on intel machines. Which means no hope of running it on a print-server if you do want to put it on the network. All in all, a nice printer, but Canon’s closed-source approach to drivers is doing them no favours.
